Ricky is an experienced music business professional with a career spanning the live sector, recording and publishing.

Starting out as a touring and recording musician, he played bass guitar in the band Scylla alongside Toni Halliday, penning tracks that appeared in the movies Showgirls (Paul Verhoeven) and Nowhere (Gregg Araki).

Ricky then signed to Dave Stewart’s publishing company, Anxious Music and, in 1999, took over the Anxious music recording studio The Crypt, which he has run as a commercial studio ever since.

Using The Crypt Studio as a base, Ricky started Bleach Productions, a Production Music Library and audio post production house. The music library is now sub-published worldwide by BMG and has over 100 albums across all genres.

Ricky has a parallel career in filming, working as a location sound recordist on an array of projects across various industries: commercials, TV, film and music. This has given him the opportunity to travel the world making documentaries for the likes of BBC, Netflix, Channel 4, Sky and the Discovery Channel.

Ricky formed ARK360º in recent years, bringing labels and clients such as WMG, Sony Music, UMG and Spinnin' Records, to provide mixing services in 360RA technology and Dolby Atmos.

Over his 25 years in the industry, Kris has traversed the full spectrum of the music business. After gathering momentum as one of electronic music’s influential figures in Poland during the 1990s, Kris began collaborating with contemporary composers such as Marcin Czubala, Bartek Chmara, and Catz’n Dogz and performing alongside leading producers and artists such as Carl Craig, Neneh Cherry, Mike Paradinas and A Guy Called Gerald.

From these heady beginnings, Kris went on to work around the globe, recording sounds as well as working on music videos and documentaries as a director – for which he garnered accolades and awards.

Following studies in Sonic Arts, Music Broadcasting and Sound Engineering at SAE Institute, MWC & LCC in London, Kris began working as a lead sound engineer at Sony Music UK’s 4th Floor Studio with names such as Dave Gahan, Sade, Robbie Williams, Mark Ronson, Backstreet Boys, Rag ‘N’ Bone Man, Little Mix, Harry Styles, Joy Crookes, Tom Grennan and more. While with Sony, at their HQ in Tokyo, Kris learned about 360 Reality Audio and subsequently was the first engineer to bring the immersive technology to the UK.

In late 2015 Kris joined the London’s art radio station Resonance 104.4 FM team to produce a Polifony program that, broadcast monthly, showcases Eastern European sonic arts.

At ARK360º, Kris engages with every sector of the music and audio industries as he leads business development. Advancing immersive audio and its uses, Kris channels his myriad experiences into new strategies and novel ideas to forward the field. He is also CEO of iM Immersive, ARK’s sister company focused on immersive audio in the growing decentralised music industry.
